Remeber, Anti-hunters groups aren't against bad shots, thier against hunting in general, bad shot or not they(anti's) don't like any animal getting snuffed.

I saw a shot like that on Primetime Bucks 6. Stan Potts takes a shot on a 220 class deer while it is standing and looking directly at him. He shot it right at the base of the neck. He recovered the deer the next morning as well. Although he did say he has never taken a shot like that before. So I think he knew it was a questionable shot.

Well, you know it boils down to the almighty buck (as in dollar). Video's are made to sell and make someone money. And the PRO is paid to get the job done. If the money is right it has a way off affecting ones ethics.

It happens in Corporate America. It happens in Washington. For the hunting video crowd it's just not as much money, but it's there. The incentive to have the best, the biggest, the newest. This is the American way.

I too watched this show. I was shocked at first. It looks like a bad shot but I believe the exit hole is right where it's supposed to be! I like the primos guys they have respect. I personally wouldn't take that shot because I know my limitations. I'm not experienced enough. I have it recorded so I will try and look at it again.

allseason, i disagree on the turkey issue. the bird wasn't roosted in that tree, so its perfectly legal. in fact, i'd do the same thing if the bird came up and landed on a limb. why not? you tell me why its unethical.

I think a mountain is being made out of a mole hill on this one. like somebody previously said, an antelope isn't that big of animal and if you're experienced like everyone at the Primos gang, im pretty sure a head on shot is quite possible. as far as a whitetail, its also possible. the Beatty Buck was taken with a shot like that. sure, it may not be the best shot, but until you have seen first hand what the arrow does, dont knock it. i think these guys know what they're doing for the most part.
