Default Martin Tracer Question

I found a Martin Tracer (Ultra Mag?) for sale. It has the Fuzion cams on it.
From what I find on various sites, this is a 2003 model. This is at Dick's Sporting Goods being sold as a new bow. Am I right? Is it a 2003 model? Yeah, it's "new", but a 2003 model, I think. Any feedback would be nice. It's been on sale for a right good while. I may make them a offer.

I like the Martin line. I just want to know if this is a 2003. I dont think they've made the Fuzion cam since 2003.
I also think they should back off the price for a 2003 model !

i agree they should back off the price, but good luck when buying from a store like dicks or gander mountain or cabelas, they really dont understand that there has been 3 years of technolegy advancements since that bow was made and its really not a "new" bow, i have seen places like this not budge on there prices they treat bows as they would treat say a bag of nocks, that bag of nocks has been on the shelf for 3 years but there still making noks just like it so were not gona lower our prices, they do the same wiht bows but good luck!

Creole, Go and talk to Dan at Dick's let him what you think and he WILL deal No question. He knows the game and if he can't get off the price he will tell you. Do you want me to go and check it out or call to get his hours.

Boldplate, I've been there a few times and haven't seen anyone named Dan. The rest of them don't seem to know much, but talk a lot. The one girl is a real salesgirl, emphasis on sales. The other guy, well, I wont go into it. Anyway, I just want to know if this is a '03 or not. Seems like they'll tell ya anything. I've about made up my mind on the Reflex Buckskin anyway, as long as they'll deal......That old Spoiler ain't fell apart yet. By the way, You have mail.....See ya Friday at the Deer Classic. Mr. Know-it-All will be with me the tell me about everything hunting.

Make it short and sweet. I just went and checked out www.martinarchery.com/history. The Fusion cam was available in 2003 and even 2002. But not 2004. They didn't make the Tracer in 2004 with the Fusion cam. It had either TruArc or Dyna cam. Does this help any? Damn, if I had my book here at home I could even give the rpice they paid for it, but I'm going to guess about $179.

BG is right, the Fuzion cam went out the door in 2003 along with the Z Cam system. Though, you may want to call Martin and talk to someone there, depending on when the bow was manufactured it may have the 2004 limb/riser combination. When I purchased my Jaguar last January I noticed the limbs and riser matched the 2004 bows, but I knew the Z Cams were no longer being manufactured. I called Martin and asked them and was informed that because some production begins the year before, the older cam systems can sometimes be found on the newer riser/limb combinations.

Check it out, you may be pleasantly suprised. I love my Martin.
