So a friend of a friend watched team fitgerald outdoors ( I saw the episode about 1 month ago). Well these Hacks stated on their show that any bow over 36 inches is too long for fingers. Also that he shot 300 + FPS hunting arrows. Then he hit a target instinctive at 60 yards (With a bow that was perfectly tuned without shooting it, amazing), acting like it was a normal/ expected result. So the friend goes out and buys a Turbotec. That bow is too radical to shot well with a release let alone fingers. Anyway he has a 30 inch draw and a 35.5 ATA length bow. He cannot even release the arrow he has so much finger pinch. Anyway, I got out an out magazine that has Dan writing an article about how bow hunters should only harvest animals with neck shots.
How did this guy ever get a show? Anyway, what have you seen on TV that just makes you mad some idiot would say it?

Broadcasting insulted my intelligence for the last time almost 2 years ago. That was the last time I gave them the chance. We still watch dvds and videos (Just watched 5 episodes of Rawhide. Real entertainment!) but no more ignorant slop.
Thanks for letting me vent. I'll climb down now.

I'm almost where Nodog is. I haven't completely quit, but if I see 1 more reality show preview I'm gonna scream[:@]. The news is just as bad, with the networks in such fierce competition, 90% of what they report is garbage. And how about the weatherman? The stations have spent millions on the latest, most technically advanced Doppler radar systems and still can't accurately predict the weather. Just last Thurs. at noon they warned a winter storm would dump 5-8" of snow here in mid-Mi. By 3pm they scaled it down to 1-3". We got nothing! Friday morning dawned partly cloudy

ewolf, Its amazing how some of these people get on tv. My synopsis is that you make a few quality videos and promote them and sooner or later one of the manufacturers will pick you up. Look at the pretty boys, Drury's. These guys are in it for the money not the love of hunting. Oh well, I've got to get back to editing my latest video. Talk to you later

I'm goin to have to disagree with sniper about the Drury boys. Wat makes you think that they are just in it for the money. Is it because they are successful? The love for hunting is what got them there. Not to mention they are two of the most respected whitetail hunters out there today. These guys produce some of the most knowledgeable and informative videos on the market. I think for these guys to be the authorities that they are when it comes to hunting whitetails, takes a lot of hard work and understanding of the whitetail. I don't think people should pass judgement on another person whom they have probably never even met let alone know enough gauge their love for bowhunting. So these guys make a lot of money at it, who cares. I am willing to bet that most of that money goes right back into the sport.
I think the real issue here is there are just too many people out there trying to make videos and passing on too much false information. The people that broadcast these shows should take responsibilty for them and review every show and verify all information these guys try to pass along.

I will have to say the Drury brothers are real hunters. They grow the deer themselves. They dont do to much deer hunting through outfitters. Most of the deer they shoot are deer they grew on their property. Mark took 2 buck in 2 years off their property that went over 190 inch. Thats awesome! I met Mark last year. You could not ask for a nicer person. He was more interested in hearing other peoples hunting stories than telling his. Unlike Chuck Adams who sounds like Ozzy I I I I I. I did this I did that. Dont get me wrong Chuck is a legend but he is not one of my favorite hunters.

Real hunters? Grow their own deer? I enjoy watching their video's and they have found a way to make a living off of what they love to do but some how their not my definition of a real hunter. Best equipment, best spots and plenty of opportunities and experience. Something about that picture that doesn't scream real hunting. And growing your own deer, sounds like a farmer or rancher.
I think all those deer should be checked for growth something or others. In a sport were so much money is involved there's bound to be abuse. May they never ruin the puriest of protien
