3. Was it in season?
4. Did it have tags?
5. How long was it in the trap?
6. Was it for ADC?

zak u most not understand in town in a backyard just sittin out there which the trap has been out there for goin on a year now and i just happend to see it. the guy dosnt hunt or trap he just trapped or he didnt mean to trap it.

Is it illegal to use a live trap in your state? In some states you can just put out a live cage trap. It is fine to leave the same trap out for years, you just have to check it every so often. If it was in his backyard, you should have knocked on his door.

Had I been in your situation I can honestly say I would have left the animal alone. You keep talking about the guy who owns the trap. You apparently know him? Well, you saw he had trapped an animal, being a hunter yourself, your first instinct should have been to go let the gentleman know so that he could dispose of the animal however he wished.

I can understand how you felt though and I'm not saying you did the wrong thing, I would have just handled it differently.

well try this lock urself in a cage when its raining freezing rain for over a day and see if u want out. (he didnt have tags on the trap)

Now I'm not 100% sure you have to have tags on those traps. How do you know it was out there for more than a day?

I would want out and I bet that possum did too. I just wouldn't have stooped so low as to mess with someone elses traps.
