on the subject of FPS.. I just started and was wondering if my buddy set me up right..

I got a new bow and have it set at 45#(I'm not the biggest guy around). It and I have a draw of 26. I had arrows cutby my local outfitter and my buddy told me I should use 90 grain instead of 100 because of the afore mentioned things. He said that when I move up in # I should then move to 100 grains.. Is that right?

It all depends on the arrows spine. What arrow are you shooting and what length is it cut to and what do you have for fletchings?

26drawny, what your friend told you may be right or it may be totally wrong. It depends on what arrows you have right now. If they are stiff enough you can so, but as you get stronger and tuen up the poundage of your bow those arrows may be too light in spine and actually require a lighter tip to shoot well. So it depends on what arrows you are shooting now.

The headlines read... "Book smart youth dies after impaled by arrow launched from own bow..." Shooting arrows into the sky just to see if you can find them is like sticking your head in the proverbial lions mouth while your buddy kicks the big cat in the @$$. Someone needs to kick yours.

The classifieds read... "For sale, slightly used PSE... contact parents of expired youth."

Good grief... someone call his mother before he hurts himself or someone else. Did he say he owned a gun too?

stop shooting the arrows into the air!!!

1. IT'S DANGEROUS!!
2. YOU LOSE ARROWS, COSTING MONEY
3. YOU DAMAGE ARROWS, COSTING MONEY
4. ITS DANGEROUS!!!!

How about you give that bow to your parents until you can learn responsible shooting.
