Getting the most fps
#11
is because when I go to wva I love shooting arrows up as high as I can and trying to find them!
NEVER EVER EVER shoot an arrow straight up. You dont know if it will get caught in a breeze or where it will come down!

There's only so much you can do to a bow, the big speed gains are poundage and arrow weight and it sounds like you are already done what you can with those.
You mention silencers, these will slow down the bow 5-10 fps depending on the type, sounds like you have felt ones, which I believe slow it down the most.
The "thing" behind your nock, is it metal? If so, replace it with a string loop, that will add a couple fps, or even just remove it, the metal ones are heavy/slow.

Don't ya just love when you try and legitimately help a guy out with his set up and what he needs and doesn't need, only find out its just cause he wants to shoot arrows real high in the air.....[:@]

I shoot a PSE Nova. I pull 58 lbs though. My advice is to take the "extras" off. That will give you a little more speed. Most shots are short range and most game animals especially whitetail deer will not give you 2nd shot so vibration and silence are not big factors to me. So, my bow makes a little "thmmp" sound. By the time he realizes he needs to duck the arrow will be in his pump house(if I don't miss). Also, dont go super light on carbon arrows as they could break on a rib or a hard bone and therefore would not be good for hunting.
Oh by the way, don't fling arrows into the air in WV. I hunt in Ohio and I don't want it to hit me!

First of all I'm not stupid Im going to be going to North Carolina School of science & math in one year due to extremely advanced courses. Secondly we own probably 500 or so acres that is two moutains with no roads and I have never seen anyone there within a mile or so. Shooting a rifle there you have a much greater chance of killing someone, rifle bullets go for miles the farthest Ive shot an arrow was 300 or so yards. Yes the nock was metal and it says it adds 5 or so feet per second. I am pretty accurate and have been practicing everyday for a month. I am for sure I can kill a deer I just want to futher my bow, I just added a cheap stabilizer (cobra) that I bought from a friend for 3 bucks. It seems to help. I dont know but thats all I have to say.!.

Just because you're able to open a book and learn what's in it doesn't make you smart. I don't care if your family owns a whole county shooting a arrow into the air with no idea what's standing where it's going land is stupid. Good luck with your "book learning".
