Speaking from personal experience, most folks around here never catch the &quot;tounge-in-cheek&quot; comments unless they are posted by certain select members.

On the topic, I enjoy the videos from time to time. SOMETIMES I think we, as hunters and fans, give them a little more credit than what is really neccessary.

Wow! I had no idea that hunting videos could cause such a debate. I don't buy them but I do watch alot of the Outdoor Channel. Why would anyone think that the Team Real Tree guys aren't really hunters? They are on those shows for a reason. They are pro's. I am sure they werent given their jobs because of their lack of knowledge about the sport.

The reason for those shows is to make $ through selling videos services and products period. Thats showbiz. Of course they are going to hunt ranches where the deer are all hopped up on deeroids! Thats what we all want to see! Are they hurting our sport in some way? I can't think of one reason they would be.

I mostly hunt because I like the feeling I get when I put food on the table the old fashioned way. To me, a great rack is not everything, just a bonus (on deer or women). There should be more important things than wethor or not my buck made P&Y or Boone and Crocket.

Things like bbq or stir fry?...

I agree with BM's original post. They have good land and good crops, but also hunt hard. I am envious, but not jealous.
