I am not one to be hardcore on one particular brands like Ford or Chevy, etc. Same goes for brands of bows. Just use what is comfortable. There are so many nice bows out there today.
Anyways I always liked smaller bows, but they usually have a small brace height until I tested out Bowtechs Tomcat. 31" axle to axle with 9 1\8" brace height. After shooting it I had to buy it. Wow is it easy to shoot. Last night I was sitting indian style on the ground shooting with ease. Love the little guy. Happy hunting this year and stay safe.
P.S. Peabody if you read this don't tell my wife I bought this.....

I'm currently in the market for a second bow myself. I've sold two of my 3 Hoyts and although I doubt I ever get rid of the 2001 VorTec (yes it's that damn good), I'm keeping an open mind.
Congrat's on the new purchase, wife knowing about it or not,, now instead of being on the computer, get your arse outside and break that little guy in, the season is around the corner.

Wooly , I know that feeling I got my bow back from the shop last week with new cables and strings. Well like you I went to work like a good boy and when at home couldnt wait for the shop and tell me the bow was ready. Now I cant shoot it enough. You better get started soon and get yourself ready fo this years season if you can. Have Fun Enjoy It and GOOD LUCK to You with it.
