Default NAP 2000 drop away ?

Just put my new drop away rest on the bow....My question is, My cable guard is below my rest and the pictures all describe the Upper cable guard which is above the rest in the pictures.

Is this going to make it perform the wrong way? It seems to be ok, the cable that runs from the cable guard to the rest plunger goes up and over the plunger then down to the cable guard. In the pictures its almost in a straight line up to the cable guard.

Anybodys help on this would be appreciated.

My cable guard is above the rest but I know my proshop sells alot of them to the Mathews shooters just because the cable gaurd is below the rest and the zero affect won't work on them. All that said its a great rest.

I have a low mount cable arm on my Fred Bear TRX and it tokk some tinkering but my NAP Drop Away works like a charm now that it's dialed in...........best $40 I ever spent.

atlasman, would did you have to do to "tinker" with it to get it to work ok.

Right now the way its mounted ( I have not shot it as of yet)..IT seems like it would work ok, the only thing I am worried about is cable clearance from the cable that pulls the plunger back to the launch postion and clearance with that cable and the arrow?

ilbback, put a right hand twist in the lifting cable (if you're right handed). That'll turn the cable away from the arrow. Adjusted properly the rest is quiet when drawing. There is a slight click when it drops, not anything to worry about, IMO.

I just twist it with my fingers, before I cut it. You could use some small needle nose pliers if need be. It doesn't have to be a full twist.
