Default Buckle or velcro..............???

I really hate the freaking noise of putting on and taking off my release each hunt. What does everyone else use?

What are the advantages and disadvantages of a buckle style release?

Double Creek!

I have a plastic buckel on my release and it's very quiet ,I used to use the velcro but like you I couldn't stand the noise of putting in on and taking it off ,The plastic buckel with the strap loosened can be put on and taken off without any noise and put on quickly for them surprise appearance's of a whitetail.I know when your thinking of a plastic buckel ,the first thing you think of is whether it's going to break ,but from my experience the buckel is strong enough to be yanking on when preparing for a shot noise free.

I have a Truball hunter II glove and it has a buckle as well as a very small velcro patch to keep the strap in place once it's buckled. I hate the noise of the velcro so I just put on my release at the car or open up the buckle all the way so I don't have to open the velcro in the woods.

I used to have the Velcro strap and swapped it out for the buckle. I found the velcro much too noisy and on occasion it would make a noise or so when drawing back. There just wasnt any advantage to the velcro strap, only negative possibilities.

I use the Scott Mongoose release.

I use velcro. It only makes noise when I'm taking it off. I don't care about the noise then. I'll make more noise leaving the area.
