With fixed blades a just buy extra blades no problem. but for mechanicals i cant seem to find any extra blades so i dont know what to do. How do you guys do it? thanks for the help. Jake

RE: Practicing with mechanical broadheads?
What kind are you shooting? I have found replacements for most of the ones I buy. You might check on ebay. I usually take dental floss and wrap around the blades so they don't open. I will also tape a piece of paper to the back of my block so I can tell if they actually opened or not (w/o dental floss). Alot of times they will open but close back when the arrow stops.

If you have a problem finding replacement blades.....I would
switch to a different mechanical. I shoot Rocket Steelhead 100's
and have no problems finding extra blades.
I like the idea of using dental floss, though I've used the wire
off of a 'bread tie" in the past.
