I am new to bowhunting been doing it for this seasons makes two. Well last year I lucked up and killed one on my first shot at one. I broke his back bone and droped him where he was.
Now for my question I really don't know to much about anything when it comes to bow hunting so I need some help.
1. how do you know how much let off a bow has
2. what is the best grain for a new bowhunter like myself last year I used 32 inch alu. arrows with a 125 grain broad head.
3. how do you determine the draw length of your bow. I have a old hand me down bow a bear whitetail II I like it alright but it is still old this year I got a new rest for it and a new string and a truglow site.
4. How do you know what the best size arrow is for your bow.
5. What is better carbon or alu. arrows.
Well I guess that is it can someone please give me some help it would be appricated.

You need to go to a good dealer for draw weight, draw length, let-off and etc. I would guess your let-off is around 65% with the older bow. Types of arrows and the weights of the tips are often personal preferences. You could also get the dealer to help you select the proper arrows and tips for your set-up. Basically, you need to go visit a good BOW dealer in your area, they can hook you up.

I would take to a pro shop. But on finding the length of an arrow, nock 1 and draw, you should leave a inch from the tip of your rest. if your shooting a release say your shooting a 30 with your fingers when you go to a release this could take an inch from your draw. if i were you i would go to a pro shop and ask the same questions.... good luck to ya......... the whitetail II was a good bow
