I just got home from having him scored by an official scorer (Roger Davis) of P&Y, B&C, Buckmasters and Buckeye Big Buck Club.

Here is what he came up with.

160 6/8 GROSS Non-Typical
156 3/8 NET Non-Typical

152 3/8 Gross Typical
135 3/8 Net Typical

So he will make P&Y both as a Non-Typical or Typical. I will most likely choose Non-Typical if I indeed enter it. Not sure on that yet.

So to everyone who either "just didn't see it", questioned me or just flat out called me a liar here is the proof you asked for. What bothered me was not that my buck didn't live up to what they may have thought a 160 class buck looks like, but rather some of them, not all of them but some trying to flat out call me a cheater and a liar.

Nice, Buckeye congrats. One question though. My buck last year could have been entered either way also. They told me you will get a higher score going typical than non typical. Did thet say anything about that to you?

Buckeye...........How old are you?? I can't even believe you would post something this childish. Calling out people by name is not only in poor taste, it also makes you look very juvenile.

#1 Most if not all those guys said your buck was a great deer. That should be all you ever need to hear.........sadly it's obvious you need more then that.

#2 Anyone that thinks you were lying could easily STILL think you are lying now. Just because you say some Official agreed with you means nothing to anyone who wasn't there. You could be making that up too. Not saying you are but why do you think your word would be good now with people that didn't accept it before??

#3 Holy Sh!t..........I just looked at the list again and saw that I am on it .........I never said anything about your buck except that I thought others looked bigger.


You have some SERIOUS issues to work out buddy. I think it will probably be a VERY LONG TIME before the members of this board forget a post like this.

If I were you I would sit down..........read your post again and think hoe it must read from others perspective.

Then decide how you are gonna make it "right" with all the people you just spit on.

As far as the P&Y ranking issue... I don't have their latest edition at this time but I do have the 1999 fifth addition so these numbers obviously have been increased. To give you a "ball park" idea of where you would fall if you should decide to enter.

As you know, for Whitetails it takes a minimum of 125 NET inches to qualify in the Typical Catagory. In the 1999 Fifth edition there were 18,510 people listed who qualified and entered in the Typical catagory. 135 3/8 would tie you with 76 other people for 10,056th place.

In the Non-Typical catagory it takes a minimum of 150 net inches to qualify. Again in the 1999 Fifth Edition there were 1139 people listed who qualified and entered. 156 3/8 would tie you with 3 people for 1083rd place.

As far as having a "higher score" in one catagory than the other, looks like 6 of 1 and a half dozen of the other to me.....;)

It was poor taste on some of their parts calling me out, but you say nothing about that. Why is that?

Once again it has nothing to do with the deer, its score or anything like that. But rather a couple on the list, not all, who in jist called me a liar and a cheater.

When Bowfanatic was all over me you said nothing, but you are fast to defend him where he needs not to be defended. AS you can see in my post, I was not rude to anyone.

No offical agreed with me. He scored it and that is what it is. Call Roger Davis if you would like. I should have paper work back from P&Y if I enter it within a months time.

And indeed I think it was classless of me to question your bucks score on a public forum. However , I feel this thread was also classless!

That's not to shabby at all buckeye ,I don't know why people would even question your deer in a contest that just setup for fun .But he's a great looking buck and who care's what they think anyway's .Congrat's to you on your buck .I've never questioned it there's just no sense in being one of those jealous observer's .

Well guy's it's getting bloody hot in here ,I'm not overly familiar with all this crap that's flying around on here right now ,but I don't see any need for it .
I understand that some have questioned Buckeye's deer and this is where the problem stem's from. I understand why he would be a little defensive about this issue .This is a great looking buck ,why can't you's just take it for what Jason say's it is and leave it at that.Why is there a need to make the guy who took this great looking deer feel that he has accomplished nothing .
Maybe Buckeye is wrong for mentioning name's ,but you guy's are wrong as well for continuing this war with buckeye.
I consider all of you's my friend's and i just don't see a need for arguing over this deer's score.If Buckeye say's it's a 160 class buck then I'll believe him just as I would if it was one of you's.

I'm pretty darn sure I've read where buckeye has appoligized to you's so let's just leave it at that and get on with our hunting.

Well, Charlie I OKed it with him. It is his business line for his scoring. Not a home line. It's an answering service you leave a message on it and he calls you back in his free time. So don't be so fast to jump to conclusions on something you guys are only assuming about.

I didn't think your deer would score that high either. I'm not calling you a liar it just doesn't look like a 160 class deer. It certainly isn't a very impressive representative of a 160 class deer. I noticed atlas said this twice. As I may be a stranger to buckeye or many of you cause I haven't met you face to face, I would still consider many to be friends.

I am a little bit older than this young lad, and I probably would have done the same thing. I can remember the posts when some of you basically called him a liar. I would want to clear my name just like he did. I wouldn't want people to think I was a liar because some disagreed with my score. Would I have listed the names of the ones that really torqued me off...prolly not, but to each his own.

Buckeye, once again congrats on the nice deer.

Hopefully now we can have some closure to this issue and move on. Any more pictures of this deer better be just to show him off and not create more arguments!!;)

Well i don`t care what the deer scores. Its a nice buck on in anyone`s book Congrats. And congrats to all hunter`s who took some really nice bucks in the contest. Her is a few of the names that turned in some really nice buck`s. TRIBAL,BUCKEYEHUNTER,KRISON,TODDGRAF,3PTBUCK,MAZUR I,JOHN-DEER,SW-IOWA-HUNTER,WOLFEN68,SHED33.BLDTRALONE, I don`t mean to sham anyone`s `deer that was turned in durring the contest. This is basically how I felt. I had some guys calling me a liar. I wanted to clear my name.Had NUMEROUS PM's about when the official score was going to be in and numerous PM's about an update. Had I never posted the "official" score I would have been the liar who never backed his word. I prove I wasn't BSing and now I am in a whole new arguement over this.

I will say it again if me listing the names of the guys who questioned or attacked me is wrong in any way. I am sorry.
