I want to try a string loop I have herd good things about them but my pro shop guy doesn't think there any good so he doesn't supply them so I was wondering what type of string do I need to buy so I can put one on myself. I know how to tie them on I just don't want to get the wrong kind of string and have it fail on me thanks.

I know different strokes for different folks but if your pro shop guy doesn't think a string loop is worth supplying you might want to find another pro shop. To not supply something as simple as a string loop is unheard of.
Ask him if they are that bad then why are 90+% of the pros and hunters alike using them? They do nothing but enhance a clean release, enhance accuracy, do not pinch nocks, keep the arrow nocked if you have to ease down, are lighter than brass nocks. Yeah, I can see why he wouldn't like them.[&:]
In adition to the above link you can usually find cut lengths in most all sporting goods stores that sell archery related gear.

I would go back and tell him to order you some. If he trys to talk you out of it, I would just roll my eyes, shake my head and turn around and walk out. and mumble something about loosing a sale and a customer for life.

I just bought a foot of it at Gander Mountain and the package had a description for tieing it on. First time takes a few minutes to figure out the lengths. After that it takes about a minute to tie it on asnd ajdust the length.
