It makes you wonder without the storyc but I think we should assume that everything is legal until we hear details to the contrary. There could have been 10 of them in the group that didn't even kill a deer. No way to know. It is an impressive group of bucks though.

I'm not saying that anything illegal happened
A pic of a bragging trailor full of dead deer isn't giving the animal much dignity.

Iowa has some terrain like that. Along the Mississippi up North and than in South Centrel Iowa there is some interesting terrain. I always thought of Iowa as flat until I had to drive all over the state for various ag stuff.

That picture started making the rounds 2-3 weeks ago, I heard it was even on Realtree's site. Yes, from what I understand, that pick is from Iowa. I was originally told NE Iowa, but I did see one post saying it was NW Iowa, either way it's along the river country on the state border.
The deer in the pic were taken during this years shotgun season a month ago, those are '04 tags on the deer. All bucks were harvested in a 1 square mile area. A memorable picture that's for sure, but I doubt anyone would want to be the guy(s) bowhunting that land
.
I would imagine there was a "hot doe" in the area, when that happens during gun season results like this do happen. I talked to a friend the other day who said they killed 29 deer on 1 "push"....certainly a legal form of hunting here in Iowa, and necessary for the 'population control', but difficult as a bowhunter to relate to or, at least, to admire.

I'm not sure exactly how I feel about that picture. My first guess is that it's from a single hunting party all hunting in the same general area. Next season ought to be interesting for them. I only see one deer that might be a yearling. That's quite a hit to the mature buck population. If I saw that sort of thing in the area I hunt, I'd have to say that I'd be quite disappointed. I know that's probably selfish, but I'm out there after the big boys. That's a whole trailer full of big boys that will roam no more. [&o]
