Didn't have in school (late 70's early 80's) but did get my start in the Boy Scouts.

This archery in schools program is a great thing. Just look at some of the responses. For those of you that attend a school that doesnt participate, you should try to encourage them to get involved

Totally agree with you Raktrakr. Unfortunately my kids go to a DoD's school here in Germany and don't see it happening.

we used to have about 2 weeks of archery. we would shoot towards the school (big mistake). Every time the teacher looked the other way you'd see a couple arrows at about 45 degree angles heading towards the roof. that was fun.

It must have been in 94 when I was a sophmore in highschool. We had archery in gym and were allowed to bring in our compounds. A couple friends of mine brought their bows and with in 3 weeks I went out and bought my first PSE. I was hooked and 4 months later I killed my first deer with a bow.

We had archery in phy ed when i was in school. Now they have gotten rid if it, i sure wish they would bring it back.
