I just got one for Christmas and love it. However, this is my first bow and I don't have any experience in comparing it to other brands. I was looking to purchase a mid-level bow and it was highly recommended by the Bass Pro store specialist. Reflex is made by Hoyt which is one of the top of the line bow manufacturers and my understanding is that much of the technology that goes into the Hoyt bows is also used on the Reflex.

I've been shooting Reflex for 5 years now. I just sold my Reflex Extreme, and purchased one of the new Buckskin bows. I shot both the Buckskin and the new Hoyt V-tec. The bows performed about the same and are even in the speed category. I liked the fact that Buckskin was a bit shorter ATA, but wish it had the laminated limbs of the V-tec, but I can always have that changed....lol I think you'll be very happy with your new Reflex because I know I've never been disappointed in mine.

I have had a Excursion before, it is the previous years Hoyt Mountain sport, but sold as the Reflex Excursion. Great bow, cam and half technology, just as fast, forgiving and perfect size for tree stands and brushy areas.... a.k.a. everywhere i hunt!
