here in central illinois there is one of the few proshops who is most respected by the name of Presley's. they decided to expand and open another store so they decided to higher about 10 people. well i went to the new store to get some arrows cut. the only guy i have ever trusted to work on my bow or mess with my arrows was not working. so i figured what the heck anybody can cut arrows. well i wait and 5 minutes later he comes back with my arrows cut. i get home and am putting them in the case and notice i have an arrow missing. i call up the shop and talk to a guy i know [who is a nice guy and knows some stuff about bows and knows who i am] he says they have my arrow laying right next to the cutter. maybe im blowing this out of proportion but i think the guy who cut my arrows [who is new to the store but an older guy] purposely didnt cut that arrow and planned on keeping it himself. i mean when you cut arrows you have a pile of uncut arrows then you cut one and put it in the pile of cut arrows. there should be no excuse for me missing an arrow. the thing is i applied for a job here also but i dont want to work with dishonest people who steal from fellow hunters. this also gives us hunters a bad rep.

I seriously doubt the older guy tried to rip you off. Sounds like an honest mistake. If he wanted to steal an arrow, wouldn't he have moved it out of sight and not let it be found so easily?

Why would the guy want to keep your arrow? And only one? He works for a shop I doubt he has trouble getting arrows. Most likely he just forgot it, it happens.
Maybe you should have checked to see if you had everything before your left, then you wouldn't have to drive over there and get it.
Yes, I think you are blowing it out of proportion. You know what else gives us a bad name? People who blame others unjustly or for honest mistakes. I think your a bit paranoid myself, and if you accuse this guy of something good luck ever getting a job there.
I'm sure they guy feels bad about, just go back and get your arrow. If he appologizes accept it graciously and be done with it. You might make a freind out the guy or something. You never know.

Dang shootem I think you are wound up a little to tight. 21,000 people just lost their lives in them awful tital waves and your crying about 1 stinken arrow. You need to get a grip on something besides your chicken.

paul when i go to the shop to get something done i assume they know how to do it right. i told the guy i had a dozen arrows and assumed when he handed them back to me i had a dozen. i spend so much money at this shop they all know who i am. it is just these new people who i dont trust and now probably never will. i already went back ang got the arrow and the guy wasnt there.
the guy would only keep one b/c it would be easy to look over until for some reason i had the need to count them. which is exactly what happened

Motown,
it wouldnt be as big of a deal if i had my license and i could just drive where ever i wanted to do the stuff i need to do but when your parents have to take u to get stuff done which they dont like to do to begin with and then when they have to do it twice is when they start getting aggitated. you can also stop putting words in my mouth id appreciate it

Shootem up you sound a bit edgy to me. Have these guys tried to steal from you in the past? If not I'd think that the guy made an honest mistake. I would go ahead and take the job if they offer it. It's great to have access to gear and also rub elbows with other hunters.
