Thank you for welcoming me. This year ive been busted in my stand, granted i have not seen many deer this year. I know they are there, my feeders and small food plot have the sighns . The first was a nice 6 point and he spotted me from about 80 yards and just stared for about 2 minutes and walked off. I saw him comming from about 200 yards out. tThe stand i hunt from most is in the corner of a boomerang spaped food plot ive been working on for 4 years now. Last year was very productive this year not so. Ive also been busted 2 times by does almost the same scenario. Im not movin around, drinkin beer, smokin cigs, burpin, fartin,or snoring. I am befuddled?

Welcome aboard bologna.
Just curious----How high is your stand and do you have any cover around you ,or are you up in a tree that is wide open to the surroundings.
Also another question----if you hunt this same stand often, then you are likely taking the same trail in and out right? The deer are getting accustomed to your presence and leaving a scent trail will get you busted almost every time

My stand is 16' up and I have a little cover, 2 cedar trees to my left and camo burlap around my stand . Its a 2 man buddy stand ( im to darn big for those little stands )
I do take the same path in it is from the back side. This is on my own land , I have 18 ac in west virginia we are building a house on. I was rather succesfull last year from the same spot with my plot not being as good as it is this year. My path in is clean to the bare dirt so i am very quiet going in and out. I will give as much info as i can so maybe you guys can help?

The funny thing is if you know you've been busted 3 times you can probally multiply that by 5 and get a true number. I would love to know the number of times I've been busted and had no idea.

I don't get busted very often... at least not that I know of!
But one very important rule of thumb I've learned.
Whitetail.. ESPECIALLY BUCKS... can pattern you just as quickly as you can pattern them!
