I have a nasty scar on my left index finger that proves this doesn't just happen with carbons. Happened about 20 years ago. Spine was correct arrow just failed. I have always checked my arrows ever since.

It's silly to blame carbon arrows for this.
Yea, let's blame aluminums!!!

It's just a flesh wound, yank it out, pour some whiskey in the hole, and bind it up....

Kindest Regards,

I have been shooting my cx 300's all summer and fall with no problems, actually they are one of the best arrows i've tried.Just make sure to check your arrows for damage after each shot.As a matter of fact, check any carbon arrow after each shot.

I use an 85 grain spitfire to keep the front end light as possible just for that reason.

gman, flexing a carbon wrapped arrow, like the ACC and ACE will show fractures with this method. The carbon is an outer wrap over an aluminum core. A hollow core carbon arrow can be fractured on the inside by the core. This fracture will not be visible and in most cases will be detected when the arrow impacts the target. In rare instances, with extreme accelleration, the arrow can let go when released.
