Default muzzy or G 5

My buddy and I both agree that these are both great broadheads, but we always talk a little trash about each other's equipment, all in good fun. My question is, if you didnt place your arrow in the desired spot and hit shoulder, would rather have on a muzzy or a G5. Maybe there are better bone cracking broadheads than these. what is your opinion.

It all hinges on what one's definition of the "shoulder" is... If you mean the ridge on the scapula, flip a coin, because neither is going to go through. Nor is any other head on the market.

The thin spots on the scapula can be penetrated, again either could do it.

The "best" head in the world can't make a bad shot good.

There are times when good heads get the blame for poor shots or shots made under poor conditions that cause erratic arrow flight, i.e. a stiff cross wind that can have a direct effect on penetration.

I honestly think that they are equal heads for any type of scenario

G5 is the company not the broadhead. They make the montec, B-52, Tekan, and Shkote. I will assume that you are talking about the three blade montec.

IMO the montec is a superior head to any Muzzy.

But like AE said it depends on where on the shoulder you hit them. But given exactly the same shot I would pick the Montec any day.

Some other heads I would pick over a Muzzy would be...... Slick Trick, Innerlock, Razor Caps, & Wasp.
