I go hunt other states. This year I have hunted Arkansas and Missouri and will be going to Mississippi in January for some late season action. The January hunt is almost a freebie since I will be buying a license in march to turkey hunt. I figure i might as well buy my license early and kill a deer or two. Well it's another $150 but that's almost free in hunting terms isn't it[:-]

PHEASANTS BABY!!! Then i get ready for turkey camp down in mt olivet kentucky!! Work out and get back in shape, for summer. Clean the hunting room, clean my guns, sharpen my knives, vistit the strip clubs, go to bars and stay out late. x-mas parties, one night stands, clean the truck, change the oil, transmission flush, things like that i dont get to do when i am hunting. I am tagged out too, got a freezer full, it was antoher great season

start scouting take in some 3d shoots and do a little rabbit hunting I tell them rabbits are fast and tough to get close to and where I am from we usually have a few feet of snow and the rabbits turn white during the winter so they really blend in. but if you manage to bag a few rabbit stir fry is very tasty. plus take up coyote hunting lots of fun.

Wow. . .lots to do, but with 2 young hunting sons that's 15 Deer between the 3 of us, 6 Bucks and the rest Does.
Due to their age I am right next to them when they hunt, 7 and 11, and yes they are a bit young for bows just yet, but they each have a bow and spend time at the ranch and home working on their shooting skills with targets.
Took 7 last season and that was a good year around here. If we manage to get even close to tagging out then we scout or focus on all those hogs running around.
Managed to get 2 200lb boars during this fall season so far, some pretty good sausage in the freezer now.
Due to all the rain here this year I have managed only one small buck so far this year and I got him on a spot and stalk, not much coming around a feeder. Both the boys have only hunted 2 or 3 times and while they have seen Deer the bucks they saw where 8pt or less and inside the ears, thus a no shooter. The does they saw did not present a good shot. get a young person interested in the sport.. or find out from your local proshop if there are any "YOUNGER" (but it doesnt matter their age) people getting into bowhunting.. take them out with you.. show them the ropes! TEACH them how to hunt responcibly and ethically!
I know that there are a few young guys trying to get out there and learning on their own... its not easy! if it were everyone would be doing it... but what we need is more educated, responcible, ethical hunters out there.
at least thats what i would do...
