I found a nice shed today.

Last season in Central Wisconsin a guy I know shot a buck in December that had already shed it's antlers. It was wounded in the neck and I believe the stress from the wound caused it's antlers to drop early. I'm not sure what caused the wound, but there was green puss oozing out and it stunk very badly. We didn't eat the meat, so the entire deer went to waste.

It is a bit early yes but not by much, i have found them as early as Christmas and others i have spoken to have found them in mid December. I guess its that time again.

I shot a buck a few years ago on Dec. 17th that lost one antler on his 120yd death run. I never did find it even after going back over the trail four times looking for it.
