bowhunters here in indiana have gotten word that they are going to open a fall turkey season next year (no word yet on the exact dates but more than likely in early archery seaon). i was just wondering how this affects the deer hunting? i would think it would change alot of normal daytime activity on the part of your upper end bucks with all the extra scent and noise. just wondering it will be new to me.

depends on how many fall turkey hunters you have. I doubt there would be enough to affect any of the deer patterns.

Wallhanger, I too have heard of the fall turkey season. I can't wait. I'm going to bow hunt the turkeys for my deer stand. This year I had 3 toms within 30 yards of me while deer hunting. I heard that the gun turkey season is only going to be like 3 days and the bow turkey season will be like a month long. I think this is correct.
I wouldn't think 3 days of gun turkey hunting would disrupt the movement of the big boys.

It's that way here in Ohio. I have seen no difference in hunting deer.

now if we could get them do do that for deer (3 daysonly) it would be great
