RE: PA Archery regulations & crossbows
Better check at the Game Commision website first ,
it probably isn't since most bow hunters hate crossbows and work year round to keep them out of archery seasons .

No Not legal state-wide. Legal in a few areas. I believe it is legal during the early and late primitive weapon season, but again check your regs. It is possible to get a Dr.'s excuse and through the game comission recieve permission to use a crossbow Statewide. But again check with DNR beforehand.

Xbows are only legal in SRA areas during the regular season, not statewide. They can be used during the regular rifle season statewide.
And may also be used in the ML seasons but I am not sure

x-bows are legal for everyone in the special reg areas only or anywhere with a handicap permit in the early archery season. x bows are legal for everyone in the 2 week gun season anywhere.xbows are legal in the late archery season just like the first archery season in sprcial regs or special permit. If you are muzzy hunting in the early season or late season you cant have any type bow with you and vice versa

Disagree with ya there cardeer. Crossbows are legal in the late muzzleloader season statewide, with a muzzleloader stamp. You can also use other bows at this time also.
