i love the outdoors and being in the woods hunting with my bow ---this year i ran into some bad luck and was not able to spend my planned time in the woods.i enjoy just shooting my bow.well yesterday i was down in a small section of woods behind my house shooting-- i sat down in a chair to tinker a little with my peep and i heard this noise--you know what i mean,the kind that says deer!well i ast there waiting thinking no big deal because i have seen a few does before.this is in a cauldesac in a small subdivision.i was looking and then all of a sudden i seen nothing but rack coming toward me.the closer it got the more rack i seen.sure i got a broadhead---well all of sudden this super nice perfect 10 stops 10 yards broadside looking around ,then looks at me and like he looks right through me,he looked all around and looked at me again as though i never existed.he was absolutly a beautiful animal probably in the low 150s.i sit there in disbelief but in utter awl for him being so close and just to watch him walk off and his beautiful rack stading ouyt in the brush as he did.you know i could of been ready and easily shot that buck without a doubt.but im a sportsman and a ethical hunter.i thank god for that beautiful 5 minutes of heaven.maybe its a blessing for something later. just thought i would share it because it may never happen again.by the way i live in ohio and it was nov 17, the rut and he was searching.man these dear are struggling for space ya know.

I used to live on top of a big draw on the outskirts of town and we used to have deer look into our windows. Few nice bucks right in our backyard. Drove my dad and I crazy.

today after i got home from an all day venture of seeing nada, turn down our drive and see a buck with a 18-20" spread in the headlights, but i don't shoot them on our small piece of heaven, wife loves to watch them and so do i.......

Isn't that just how it happen's.You can hunt all day long and see nothing and right where you least expect it ,there he is.looking you right in the eye's.
