I'm wanting to get a new bow (my daughter is getting my Q2XL) and all that you read about is the new Outback. I'm not real big on short bows, but I'm willing to give it a try if it's good. The bottom line is that I'm looking for the best bow out there factoring in forgiveness, quietness, and speed being the least important. Any suggestions?

I say YES,but everyone is different,so go test shoot one,you will not think of it as a short bow after you shoot it! http://tinypic.com/f6rti

Yeah it is. Great bow. I really didn't think much of short bows until i shot it. i picked the LX over teh Outback just for the feel. I had alot of trouble deciding which was better. It is really a great bow.

i shot a mathews outback at an outdoor show in pa, they had the poundage very low so everyone could shot it, i did not like it at all.. .. BUT when i got back to my local mathews dealer he had the outback set on 70lbs and i decided to shoot it again and fell in love , the bow is the smoothest bow i have ever shot and quiet as heck, for example i was filming hrtshot last saturday and he missed a doe at 10 yards she ran about 20 yards and stoped 2 minutes later he arrows a fine 8 point , i say mathews outback is an awsome bow although i think the price of 620$ is alot for a dang bow

I love mine. I'm a poor high school student and it was worth it for me to save up the money and get it. It's more forgiving than other short bows because the riser is so long.

I went bow shopping tonight and tried out several bows. I decided to buy the bow I liked best and yep, I bought an Outback. Very smooth and quiet. I guess you get what you pay for. Can't wait to get this sucker sighted in tomorrow and get out this weekend. And for $620, I would buy it. Mine cost $669!

My Outback lost it's virginity last week when I arrowed a nice 8 point buck! Nice smooth, quiet bow.
