Congrats on your first, and I applaud you for not waiting for a bigger rack. So many times I hear from my friends who take up hunting that they want their first one to "be memorable", so they are waiting on a trophy. Let 'em wait, more deer for me to put in the freezer while they are waiting!

Congratulations on your first. I have yet to get a buck with a bow but I got my first doe with a bow last month. I just finished my third batch of jerky. No recipe, just go through the cupboard/frig. Worcestershire, brown sugar,honey, tobasco,BBQ sauce, it's all good! My kids are always ready to sample new batches. Hope to get her some company around Thanksgiving.

Here is a good recipee i have been using for a while this will do about 2-3 pounds of venison
1/4 cup worchester
1/3 cup soy sauce
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon chili powder ( or the whole dam jar if yoiu like it hot!!)
7 healthy dashes of liquid smoke
1/8 cup beer (optional)
let marinate over night and dehydrate in the morning!!
