Me and some friends are going to Ohio County in Kentucky this coming weekend. I see that we are getting a nice cold front, and the farmer says that the crops have been gone for some time now. What is the conditions in Kentucky now? Are they showing any signs of RUT yet? Are the white oaks still dropping? Any info would be helpful.
Thanks and good luck to everyone

I haven't seen any scrapes, but I haven't been out scouting either. I'm setup where I saw most of the deer last year, along funnels etc. So far I've seen just little bucks and lots of doe's. I don't pay much attention to acorns and such because to me I would rather be in an area which has alot of deer traffic regardless of the food nearby.
I would say that rut hasn't started yet because I should have seen some scrapes by now. But that could change any day. The rut in Kentucky normally starts the first or second week of November.
