I'm from southern Indiana, and I'm just wondering what is goin on with the rut right now. Me and some buddies do quite a bit of spotlighting away from areas we hunt just to try to get an idea of the deer behavior. About two weeks ago the bucks were are still running together. The last time out last week we saw 3 nice bucks, and they all were running alone and acting kinda stupid (running in front of the truck.... stuff they don't normally do). Another guy I know said that he has noticed the bucks are starting to cruise around. Then this morning my best friend called and said he looked out his back window of the house and here came a nice buck across his yard. There would not be any other reason for a nice buck to come across his yard unless he was out looking for does. You guys got any suggestions, thanks.
