I have heard of using this trick but using ammonia instead. My Grandfathers friend in Illinois did this and shot a monster some years back. My grandpa did this and ended up shooting a buck at the rag hung in the tree soaked with the ammonia. My Grandfather said when he went to gut the deer it was excited, if you know what I mean. I haven't tried it and don't think Grandpa does anymore either but I just might have too!!!

A friend of mine did the same thing 2 years ago but with buck and doe tarsal glands. It was the couple days of the season so he decided to get rid of all his glands. He tossed all the glands he had saved from the season in different directions. He had a huge buck come in, but could not get a shot on him and he had a couple does hanging around the area too.
