I have been trying it for two years with not much response. Deer pretty much ignore it.
Last Saturday evening, a real slammer ten point came through at fifty +- yards. He paused in his route and I hit the call twice. First time he jerked his head but didn't look at me. Second time, he looked over my way. After politely acknowledging me, he went on his way. He was definitely looking for love but wasn't interested with a talkitive lady.

I used the small can last season with no results. I mis up my grunt tubes so as not to broadcast the same exact sound day after day in the woods. I was throwing in the can hear and there and never pulled a deer in. I tipped the can with a doe in sight, but not in range, same with a buck a different night - in both cases the deer looked up and in my direction, but didn't care in the least. Didn't spook them though.

I hit the can immediately after sitting down in my stand this past sunday eve. About 2min later a spike buck came crashing down the ridge to find the source. I definitely belive it works. Also, that morning I used it and heard a branch crack right away. There was a nice 8 point coming up the trail I came in on. Granted the can didn't bring this buck in but it didn't scare him off.
