Default Road Kill Dinner (Poll of sorts)

Would you guys eat a deer that had just been hit by a car?
This is assuming you knew it was hit by a car, it had just happened and you could get to it fast, and the deer wasn't mangled.

I have a friend who is in pretty tight with local law enforcement and they call him whenever a deer is hit. He is on his way over to pick one up at the moment that was just hit less than 30 minutes ago.
Anyhow, he is always asking me if I want some of the meat. I've always politely said no thank you.
I love venison as much as the next guy but the thought of eating road kill somehow seems nasty.

So I pose this to you - who would, who has, who wouldn't -----> and why????

I will, I haven't tried it yet, but I will do it because meat is meat. As long as it's fresh.

I don't see the problem.

I would want to have hit the deer myself, or taken care of the meat from a hit - and it would all have to have happened quickly.

I am currently meatless so I am considering taking some of it.

My wife left the deep freeze door open early in the hot part of summer and spoiled an entire freezer full[:@]

I've had the opportunity to take 2 does but both were with fawns still - I know I know.
