First time i heard that 'crashing' i didn't know what it was. So i waited also, but only about 1.5 hours total, lost half a doe to coyotes because of it. I shot a doe/fawn back to back and they both made it from field to trees and then the crashing, then nothing, was all over in about 30 seconds. The coyotes also heard it and found the doe first and went to town...tiz amazing what they can do in a very short period of time. Both deer found right where i heard the crashing(the deer we in opposite directions of me, about 100 yrds from each other, one went one way and the other went the other way sort of thing), and now that i've actually seen deer die from mine, and others, bows, and seen what happens with all the kicking etc. once they go down...when i hear the crashing i'm a happy boy. Congrats on the dandy buck...crashing = good.
