I was just wandering when you guys think is the better time to be in the stand. Whether you prefer the morning hunt or the evening?

If i were hunting in kansas you couldnt get me out of a tree!!!! But here in ohio, i hunt all day regardless, but if i am really tired, ill sleep in and go on a eveing hunt, and those are great, i just hate tracking a deer at night.

If your location is good both are a good time to be hunting. I personaly have shot more deer in the evenings but enjoy both equally. Each brings something diffrent to the hunt. In the mornigs the woods awaken aournd you where as in the evenings the woods settle down to rest.

Early season I prefer morning hunts and latter in the year I prefer the evenings. A lot IMO has to do with the temprature.

I always prefer the morning hunts for some reason. Except on a clear full moon night.

So far this season, I've seen more deer in the evening. Although, to me, there's something special about being in my stand to see the woods wake up and come to life. I also like hunting in the morning because you've got all day to track a shot deer (If need be) and you don't loose light.

I really like evening, but only because I HATE waking up at 5 in the morning, that and I'm not supposed to take coffee in a stand. If I can't have my coffee I ain't goin.

I'm with P_T_, but morning hunts have enough merit to get me to drag myself out as often as I can.
