Well Here it is, my firts year bow hunting. I have taken a few shots no hits of course, but tonight i went out and about an hour before sunset i see monster buck about 40 yards from me. hes @ my back and didn't see me. so i stand slowly and watch paitently. Well he walks away from me then back to me looking right at me. i just stayed completely still and he kept on playing with me. this went on for a half an hour. He woult take a step or two then look at me. He was completely broadside so perfect shot. Finally he was within 15 yards of my tree and he looked away I pulled my bow back he looked and lept. I didn't even get a shot off and he was gone. I just need to vent thanks for reading this. I am not giving up I love bow hunting, a lot harder than rifle though!!

Welcome to bowhunting.
He knew something was up. He got spooked. I would give that stand a rest for at least a week. Maybe even want to move the stand to a different tree. If he come back, he may be looking right in that tree. He saw you once!
Good luck gettign him

I feel your pain!! [:@]
It is encounters like this though that will help you down the road when the "monster of all monsters" comes in, call this a growing pain if you want. [>:] As has been mentioned, you are going to experience a number of them. [8D]

It sounds like you had a great hunt though. 30 minutes of watching a monster always makes for a great hunt.
The bad news is I AM JUST KIDDING!! YES IT WILL!!
