I just got back from Bowhunting Brown county Illinois....... Had lots of cold nasty windy rainey weather........[:'(]
I was bowhunting for a 140 class or better buck but he didnt come to the stand although he was there to greet us standing 20 or so yards from us at the gate when we left the field, he had bases the width of soda cans for example....and an extremely non typical rack with palmation.
I did take this doe though Wednesday am in the rain ,she was a trophy doe for me , she weighrd in at 160 lbs and was aged at approximitly 4 1/2 to 5 years of age ... which made her the largest doe taken on the property so far this year and she had twins ( Doe Fawn and Button Buck )with her which means when the time came for her to run her button buck out of the area she will not be there to do it so there will be one more good buck when he grows up that will stay in the area ....
She gave me a 12 yard shot with a pass through.... she dropped 19 yards from my stand
so thankfully we didnt have to blood trail her in the rain.
Despite all the nasty weather we had a great time bowhunting.

Congrats. on the monster doe Lady Forge. I use to have family in the Mt. Sterling area of Brown County. Super country in that neck of the woods.
