Way to go Muzzyman,Glad to hear the meats on the ground and in the freezer,I'm sure your doe is well worth the cost of an arrow and a head .I've never used the snyper but I know a few guy's who do and they like them as well.

Not trying to mock anything in your post. I do find these heads interesting, but how can a 1 3/8 inch head do this?
Congrats on your deer.
There was a 3" wide gash on both sides from that head. The bummer of it was, I never did find my arrow as it went into some brush and richoceted into neverland.
Congrats on your deer.

Thanks Rob, but I believe they are 5/8 inch closed per Rocky's website:
THE BROADHEAD YOU CAN TRUST
Super tough, two blade expandable broadhead with Cam Action Blade System. This is one hard hitting head that features a blade insert tip that cuts on impact. Flies like a field point, penetrates with power.
100 Grain - 2-Blade Open-On-Impact design
Comes assembled with rearward sliding/expanding blades that eliminate deflection on angled hits
Traditional Cut-On-Impact Tip for maximum penetration
.035" thick, stainless steel Blades
5/8" closed, 1 3/8" expanded cutting dia.
Guaranteed entrance hole

Bob...........not trying to answer for Rob.........but it's all about the way the blades open !
When it hits the blades snap open to probably around 3" and the slide back and stay at 1 3/8 " ! They are 5/8" closed .........snap to about 3" .........and then come out at about 1 3/8 " ...............at least on the deer I shot anyway !

Congrats on the deer. I've used Snypers in the past and had very good luck with them. I'm using Spitfires now, but wouldn't hesitate to go back to the Snypers.

If you like the Snyper, you should try its big brother the Gator XP. It has 2" blades, I liked the snyper but on occasion the rubber band would fall off one of the blades. The gator does not use rubberbands.
