Default My 1st Climber Experience

Before the fall bow season I practiced in my backyard (in the daylight) at 10 - 15 ft. heights. The first time I used my climber in the field it was pitch dark. When the sun rose I noticed I was only about 5 ft. off of the ground.

Here's a tip for you. Know the length of you're pull up rope. Then, when you get to the point where you're bow is just starting to lift off the ground you'll know you're at whatever height you chose.

Thats okay. I laughed at myself too. Luckily another hunter, jogger, or hiker did not see me.

I usually just tie the end of my tow rope to my climber. However, you have a great idea.

LOL.....thanks for posting that. That beats the time I got 25 feet up, all situated, only to hoist my bow and realize I forgot to attach it to the rope................[]

I used my new climber for the first time also this weekend. It was a little noisey but very comfortable. I could get used to that!

my rope is tied to my belt loop so it's easy to feel when i get to my height. i then stuff the rope into the cargo pocket in my pants. it rarely gets untied from my belt loop.
