my hunting area is about 600 acres of wide open fields with i very heavily wooded creek bottom running through the middle about 1 1/2 mi. long and 50yards wide at the most. my q is i was leaving the woods today driving back to the front of the property and was scanning the woods when over the creek i saw a huge typical buck jump from his bed and run up over the hill. i knew there was no getting him today but i jumped the creek and had a look around anyway. on top of the hill was trails galore. should i set up near the bedding area or on the trails? you cant see one from the other because of the hill.

I'd set up between the two where he wouldn't be spooked. I'd rather not spook him out of the bedroom. I did that a few weeks ago scouting and set up a timer on him to see what time he would return. He didn't return for 7 days to that area. just my opinion.
