Wow what a crackfomercial!!!!!!!!!

You guys are nuts if you believe this ring a round the rosie with a buck. Its not even rut yet what the heck are you thinking.

No way no how way to far fetched and if you all think there is some miracle scent to hunting there is its called sweat from scouting.[8D]

This guy found the hunter with the cowmoflouge and danced around a tree with him.

Besides, if it was good why would you tell the whole world????????

Why don't you tell the whole world where you hunt and how the herd is??????

Because hunting is private!!!!!!!

BS Story...[:@]

Newshooter evidently you haven't spent much time in the woods. No offense. The rut doesn't start the same every where. And it didn;'t nessesarly have anything to do with the rut.

Wow, New shooter... if hunting is so private, why are so many guys/ gals on here sharing stories, advise and problem solving?
I am not offended in any way that some people may doubt this crazy encounter I had, or even like mrfritz have the first thought that this is a commercial. But man, your statement is kind of a strange post on a place where so many people have a positive and up beat frame of mind.
To quote drstalker the rut does begin at different times in different areas, but I am not sure if this was the start of rut or not. Although there were 2 six pointers locking it up in the first place that seemed to draw the larger 7 out in the open.
Any way... to those who kept it positive on here... best of luck to you all and thanks.

I had a somewhat similar situation to livbucks'. My very first encounter with a big mature buck and I still remember it like it was yesterday. I had only been hunting alittle while and didn't yet have a stand. I was just setting on a stump staring at a well worn deer trial. Like many beginners, I got bored after about 4 hours and didnt really know what I was doing at the time so i decided to walk down the deer trial and see if i could scope out a buck. Before getting up I squirted some Keller's Hot Doe Gel on my boots, I only took a few (very noisy) steps down the trial when I heard the famaliar sound of a deer running away. I hurried that way only to see it wasnt running away.....it was running striaght at me!!! We got in a staring contest at about 10 yards for what felt like forever, then when I decided to try and draw he bolted. I spent the rest of the season after that wide racked 8- point buck but never saw him again. I will NEVER forget that buck!! I have much more knowledge now, and many more encounters with big bucks.....but that is probably one of my most favorite memories!!

Once I came upon a disgusting scene in the woods where there were seven bucks doing a circle jerk. Apparently the buck to doe ratio was way out of whack in that there were 10 bucks to one doe in this area so all of the horny bucks became homosexual and began servicing one another.

Interesting story. I might pick up a bottle of that scent to see how well it works. Thanks for the story.

A buddy of mine had a similar encounter about 10 years ago. He had doe urine on his jumpsuit. Interestingly the deer that stalked him was a 7pt also. It wouldn't leave no matter what he did. He got so nervous....he ended up sticking him, even though he didn't want to. Similar situation, but it was mid Nov.

Sounds like that deer has a deathwish! I'm going to look for that lure at Wallyworld though!
That's one of those hunting experiences that keeps ya hooked!
