Default Shoot through rest question

I'm shooting feathers through a shoot through rest (NAP 1000).The feathers are smooth and laid back before I shoot at the target.
After I shoot at my target and look at the feathers some of them are not in the shape they were in when released, they have gaps between the feathers and some are bent.I can run them through my hand and smooth them out again.
Could hitting the target (Tough Bag) cause the feathers to move forward?Do you think the feathers are not clearing my rest properly? It looks like they have enough clearence.
Any idea's would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I think the sudden impact and stop is whats causing your feathers to sepperate. JMO but if you were traveling 265 fps and suddenly stopped, you'd be seperated from something too.
