You know, that's a damn shame and frightening too. The main reason I took up a bow and started bow hunting is because I was shot at on three seperate occasions by slob hunters here in NY. I talked it over with a close friend and when he asked me why I quit hunting shotgun and rifle season, I had to tell him because I was afraid that one more fool and I might shoot back, and I won't miss. None of us can say for sure that this was murder(although it is awful hard to draw back a bow without seeing what's in front of the arrow), but I'm not big on second chances for people like this. Murderer? maybe not. Irresponsible and reckless and not entitled to enter OUR hunting woods? DEFINATELY! My sympathy to that mans family, both the one who has died and the one who has an ass for a family member.

If you think a person is an animal, you are too confused to identify the kill zone. These people are idiots. EOTN they shot at you to kill. I think that is attempted murder.

another reason to wear some hunter/blaze orange at least on the way to and from the stand, things like this should never happen, rule #1 always be sure of your target, if this was an accident both men will suffer, if not it will take care of itself, what goes around comes around.

I'm sorry but I just don't think there is ever an excuse for not knowing your target with a bow! [:@]
I understand the temptation of shooting a rifle at a "maybe" (tho that's CERTAINLY NOT ACCEPTABLE). But with a bow your shooting something that is so easily deflected that the majority of our shots are within 25 yards...!

They should be taken out of the woods for good, or at least for a very long time. Accidents with people shooting people, whether it be gun, or whatever. I don't think they should be forgiving at all, because seriously, once I see what is making the sound, I can make out what it is as soon as I see it moving, you can distinguish a human from game pretty easily I think.

Sad ,reminds of the bow hunter a couple years ago up in one of the new england states. In deer bow seasaon he was shot while in his tree stand by another bow hunter for a deer. I want to tell you here in Pa anyway in the past 45 years I have seen some real retards in the woods.

I find it hard to beleive a man looking like a turkey. Been in the woods all my like and have never seen a turkey that looked like a man or a man that looked like a turkey. We're talking in bow range also. Sad indeed
