Default pass through problems?

I just was wondering what to do If I don't get a pass through.
I don't plan on a bad shot just shoot a slower bow and don't want to have a problem.

Good luck this season
6 danys for me north ny.

Why would a passthrough matter? If you shoot in the right spot its going to take em down.

I agree. If you hit them in the right spot it doesn't matter if you get a pass through. I like complete pass throughs for better blood trails. 2 holes is better then one....

A passthru is not needed if you hit both lungs. It just sounds better when you post your kill story and say you made a clean passthru.

I used to shoot a slow bow but i shot 29 inch 2117 arrows with a 125 grain MUZZY head, never had issues with passthrough penetration. good luck.

Like the others said...it doesn't really matter if you don't get a clean passthru or not. It's nice to have, 2 holes usually makes it easier for blood trailing but if your shot placement is good you'll be just fine. By the way what exactly are your numbers? FPS and KE? What's your setup, i.e. draw weight, arrow, and broad head? Have you thought about using 2 blade broadheads?

I don't often get a clean pass through in many of my shots. It makes the bloodtrail smaller sometimes, but usually doesn't mean it will be any longer.

Only had one pass through ever. Just doesn't matter if you put it in the right spot. You can increase your odds though by going to a cut on contact broadhead, I had better penatration with them and my old bow.

I have had problems with no pass through in the past, with weak to no blood trail. I went to a rocket mechaincal broad head. The mechanicals come with different cutting diameters. If you are having problems, go with a cut on contact and smaller cutting diameter.
Good luck

Just hit them in the vitals.

Keep the broadheads sharp...it doesn't take much to pass through the rib area. My son passed through both of his deer this year. He shoots 1916 arrows and 100 gr. muzzys. I don't know what the KE is but it can't be much. Also, through a chronograph, he shoots 167 ft per second.
