The only real advantage to a pass through is you'll have two holes(enterance & exit) and nothing to stop the blood from flowing out those holes. If you hit the boiler room you'll have a dead animal either way but you'd be likely to have a larger blood trail if the arrow isn't in there clogging things up.

I personally wouldn't worry about it. Concentrate on getting a good shot off and then recovering your animal.

A Pass though shot is nice, it can help you determine where you hit the deer to better determine how long to wait before tracking, and better blood trails, but one that isn't could possibly put the deer down a little faster. As the deer runs away it will still have the razor sharp broad head moving around in there doing more slicing and dicing with every step and every tree the exposed shaft hits.

Just hit them in the vitals and you will be fine, pass through or not

Sorry, guys, but I think that a passthough is important and is something to strive for. Prime, you may want to look for a different arrow configuration (maybe a heavier arrow), and possible a different broadhead (maybe a two bladed cut on contact).
