Cheap black rubber bots if it's really warm(hasn't happened yet). LaCrosse 1200 insulatd any other time on stand. If it get's really cold I'll wear my neoprene 9mm booties that I wear when I surf in nthe winter in NY. If they keep my feet warm in 40 degree water, I figured they'll keep my feet warm inside a boot. My fet stay warm and I think the booties may act as a scent containment bonus.

I used to wear black rubber knee highs, and the sun would shine on my feet and bake them. This year I needed new work boots so I went to Wally world near my sons house and got some for hunting instead. They are 600 gram camo boots made by a company called Hermann Survivors. I've been wearing their work boots for years and they are very comfortable. I know it sounds odd wearing insulated boots in 90 plus degree heat but when the sun is shining on them the heat doesn't get to your feet.

I'm a real fan of Danner radicals. They are camo uninsulated ankle high boots with gore tex. I've put alot of miles on them the last two seasons for spot and stalk mule deer bow hunting and they've held up very well. They have become my favorite walking shoes as well! Need to remember to spray them down with scent shield and consider foot deodorant. Sportsmans' wharehouse presently has them on sale for $89. I like them so much, I thinking about getting another pair!

I like the flip flop idea, however, those fire ants make for a missirible day..... My feet sweat more than the average man so I have a pair of cabelas camo hiking boots. Uninsulated is a must for me all the way into late December.
