Default Cat on the loose

I just heard here on the local news(ABC 7,Chicago IL)that a big cat is on the loose in Lynwood IL.People around here don't know that the DNR released bobcats a few years back. There was also a possible mountain lion spotted last spring In lake county,This one I find hard to believe but ya never know.Maybe they'll open up a bow season for these critters

There was a big hoopla around here a few months ago when there were multiple sightings of a big cat in the North Shore and Libertyville areas. There were a few blurry pictures of it in the paper at one point, but nobody ever determined what exactly it was. Most people's feelings were that it was someone's pet that either escaped or was released into the wild.

Aahhh crap!!!! Not supposed to have these things in the Midwest. Corn, beans, deer, ducks and geese...not cats, bears and the like.

There is a Tiger loose near Fort Polk Louisiana. I have not heard anything recently, so it may have been captured, but it was in the news daily last week or the week before.

Have had a mountain lion in my area for the past 2 years. We find where he has sharpened his claws and where he has taken Deer and Pigs. Last season one of our guests spotted him at last light stalking a young doe. He shot and missed right when the cat jumped at the Deer, so he says. I hope we see him this year, he may end up on the wall.

I hunted in Hamilton county Ill. in 2000. Met a local who was driving around with a couple of hounds in his truck. He told me the DNR had released twenty cats in that area. I said ya right, but than I found several sets of fresh tracks which were made by one huge cat. I think he was hunting for them as I seen his dogs from my stand a few times that week........Dabow
