Default Multiple Broadheads

Does any have any experience taking two different broadheads with them to the field.

I've been trying to decide between max penetration or max bloodtrail and came up with the idea of taking two large diameter mechanical and two smaller (11/8") fixed cut on impact heads. Using the mechs for "easy" <25yard shots and the fixed for quartery or longer shots.

any suggestions as to whether this is wise?

I have carried 2 but it was always been one for turkeys and yote's and one for deer. This year I will just carry one for everything. I've never had the time to switch anyway.

Do you have both shooting the same?

Well.....im about a month behind and still don't have any!!!!
I don't know if I'll get em to shoot the same or not

As far as having time to switch, i planned to setup with the fixed and then if I get to stalkin' switch over to the mech in anticipation of the closer shot.

I'm shooting a 60# Feather-Max with carbons and a 28.5 pull, so i really doubt penetration's gonna be an issue within 45yards

I carry magnus and muzzys to the field most of the time, just because i like both. When im hunting a place where there are turkeys i take a vortex along also, but mostly its just magnus heads. And yea, they all shoot the same.

I have carried as many as 3 different kinds of broadheads with me in the field. They all weigh the same and I know they all shoot the same so I see no real big deal.

I had a very mixed quiver last year and they all shot the same (or they didn't make the quiver).

My plan this year is muzzy phantoms for deer/hogs and either sidewinders, jackhammers or minimax 3's for smaller hogs on evening hunts(so I don't have to trail them as far).

I have 4 differnt heads in my quiver this year so far, and plan on using a 5th as well. Just know the heads, what they are capable of and make sure they all impact the same.

More than one broadhead would be too complicated for me. I just use my 3-blade 100-grain Muzzy's for everything.
