Default Sims Cable Slide and Bowtech Patriot VFT

How many of you Patriot users have used the LS Teflon Cable Slide.

Did you like it? Dislike it?

Curious b/c I was at the local pro shop yesterday and was considering but wasn't sure if it was beneficial or not.

The LS Cable Slide pulled my cables a little closer to the cable guard, in which develpops a little more angle in the cable and wonder if this will offset the benefit of the teflon. I figure it will make the bow shoot a little left, but is there any other side effect I'd be looking at?

Its the first thing I do when I buy a new bow.The factory installed cable slide on the BowTech bows are not verygood! In fact,if you don't replace them, you will be buying,or replacing the cable and or string before to long. The Sims slide will improve bow performance, its ALOT smoother drawing, and alot queiter also.

rack attack,

I have not used the Sims slide on any of my Bowtech bows but I have used other slide models which do pull the cables over more than the stock slide. I have not seen any type of significantly detrimental impact because of this. Accuracy is very good. Speed has not noticeably changed and I am not seeing more wear and tear on the system as a whole.

Hope this helps.

Rack

I yanked my bowtech slide off on my 2003 Extreme VFT the first week I bought it. I replaced it with the Sims Teflon slide. I have had no problems or changes in accuracy. The bow is quieter and draws smoother.
I don't think you will be dissapointed.

I'm kinda in the same boat. I'm looking to replace my worn factory slide. I've narrowed it down to Hick's, Saunders, NAP or Sims cable slides. I can't make up my mind. [8D]
