Default New Stand

I was putting up a new lock on the other day in one of my spots. As i was sitting in it, checking out my shooting lanes, A nice big doe came walking in w/ in 10 yards of me. What a way to start it off! First week of bow starts Oct. 11. Hopefully she comes back with a boyfriend.

Same thing happened to me 2 years ago, only it was during season and I didn't have my bow with me-

Good feeling anyhow, good luck!

Oh come on now Hazcon, you should know better than to go anywhere in the woods during the season without bringing your bow.

tsk tsk Shame on you.

Last summer, I had just gotten through trimming trees and was back at the truck with my bro-in-law. We were stinking pretty bad, plus talking at full volume when 2 basket racked bucks walked to the edge of the trail we had just walked and stood there looking at us as we packed our stuff. They finally walked off-not ran- after 5 minutes of watching.

I had just the opposite happen to me not too long ago. I was taking down a stand because the landowner said he only wanted his nephews to bowhunt it. Well, anyways I was taking down my stand and not 15 yards from my stand, a 130" class buck![:@] He must have known the season was closed because he stuck around for about five minutes. What a sad, sad story.....
